Christopher was born and educated in London.He attended the Royal College of Art from 1977.In his last year at the R.C.A.Christopher's personal tutor Shiela Robinson introduced him to Edward Bawden (the "Master of the Linocut")They soon became friends and Edward asked him to accompany him on several sketching trips to Cornwall and assist him with printing.
Christopher has continued to work as a successful illustrator with clients including : Faber and Faber, Penguin Books , Bloomingdales, Trickett and Webb
He has written and illustrated the Alphabet of London for Merrel 2012.described by Time Out as " the perfect picture book for adults" Also A Pack of Dogs
Last year he was commissioned by the Museum of London to produce illustrations and posters for Fire Fire !
He has exhibited regularly for Michael Parkin Fine Art , St.Judes, The Fry Gallery, The Fine Arts Society, The V& A, The Royal Academy and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park
